NO BAD LUCK, ALL LOVE THIS WEEKEND 🌹
Happy Friday the 13th, Delco.
Don't worry — the only scary thing around here is the price of a Valentine's Day dinner reservation. Speaking of which, the deep freeze is finally loosening its grip. Temps are climbing back above freezing, and by tomorrow we should be in the low 40s. Just in time for a proper Saturday date night.
Whether you're hunting for roses, catching a show, or just happy it's the weekend, there's plenty going on. Let's get into it.

DELCO NEWS ROUNDUP
⛳️ Springfield Approves Two New Restaurants
Springfield Township commissioners approved two new dining concepts on Tuesday night, both bringing something different to the W. Sproul Road corridor. (Delco Times)
X-Golf will open a golf simulator with a bar and food menu at 751 W. Sproul Road in the Springfield Shopping Center, taking over the former mattress store space. The franchise offers simulated courses from around the world, PGA-certified lessons, and a full food and drink menu. X-Golf already has four Pennsylvania locations, including one in nearby Garnet Valley.
Blue Sunday, a high-end American restaurant, will replace Carrabba's Italian Grill at the Springfield Mall. The owners operate several restaurants in the Philadelphia area, signed a lease in April, and expect to open by September. The restaurant will seat 204 and employ 15 to 20 workers.
💪 Delco Joins Fight to Restore Slavery Exhibit
Delaware County has joined Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery counties in filing a joint amicus brief supporting Philadelphia's lawsuit to restore the slavery exhibits at the President's House Site at Sixth and Market streets. The National Park Service removed the exhibits in January 2026. (Delaware County)
Delaware County Council Chair Richard Womack spoke plainly about the decision: "Our history is imperfect, but it is ours."
The President's House site told the story of the enslaved people who lived and worked there during George Washington's presidency. The legal effort aims to reverse the removal and restore public access.
